Exposing the limitations of Oracle 11g Market Driven Support
As Oracle introduced Market Driven Support, or MDS for short, many began to consider it as a viable option to mitigate some of the risks of losing Premier Support. Unfortunately, MDS is far from being comprehensive and will only provide limited support for the years 2022 and 2023.

For instance, Oracle Database 11g Release 2 will move into Sustaining Support in January 2022 and it’s highly recommended that clients upgrade to Database 19c to take advantage of the innovation, optimization, and reliability that release 12.2 provides.
